I sat…in silence as I read the note over and over.
Memories Flashed by of the two of us mesmerized by our happiness. This couldn’t be happening, I thought.
My gaze drifted depressingly over the blood, over your body…To what i love most, your face. The thick smell of blood washed over me as the deep slices upon your wrists bore horrible thoughts in my mind. The roses fell from the grasp of my hands. I began to stare blankly at my red reflection on the floor. Tear drops crashed over the mirrored version of myself. The blood slowly pooled around my feet. I reached over and lifted the telephone to my ear. The numbers seemed blurry and far away, but as I turned the rotary dial, tears came heavier and quicker.
I had spoken gruffly with an officer, then I dropped the phone on the hooks.
In the blood lay the knife in which you used to end it all. I plucked it from the floor and sliced a heart in both of my wrists. Quickly I wrapped my arms around your lifeless body. Our lips locked in the forever longing kiss of eternity.
